St. Brigit of Kildaire
St. Brigit was born into slavery, and was converted by St. Patrick to Christianity. She is known for great compassion, and often miraculous acts of charity. She later became the abbess of the Kildaire Abbey, which in turn became a center for Pilgrimage.
