St. Helen, the mother of St. Constantine, upon converting to Christianity, was concerned with helping the spread of Christinity within the empire, and with the well-being of churches within the realm. She erected churches and shrines in many places, as well as lavishly adorning churches. She is also known for the finding of the True Cross. This icon ( 24" x 44") was done through the St. John of Damascus Icon Studio for the St. Peter and Paul Chapel at Antiochian Village
