Jacob the Patriarch
Jacob, the son of Isaac and the father of the heads of the tribes of Israel. This particular icon drwas strongly upon a more western tradition. Though it retains byzantine styling in the robes and facial charactersitics, the background is reminiscent of a more Romantic style.
