St. James the Less

St. James the Less, son of Alpheus, and Brother of Our Lord, became the first Bishop of Jerusalem. He worked tirelessly to bring Jews to Christianity in the early days of the Christian Church. He was stoned to death, thus receiving the crown of martyrdom. He is the author of the Liturgy of St. James, a precursor the the Liturgies of St. John Chrysostom and St. BasilThis icon was done through the St. John of Damascus Icon Studio, and is part of an apostles tier in the iconostasis of the Chapel at Camp Nazareth.
