Archangel Michael
The Archangel Michael is given several roles in the Tradition and Scriptures. He is the chief of the Archangels. He fights against Satan, rescues and brings souls to judgement, and intervenes to help us in times of need. In the icon of the Holy Archangels, St. Michael is depicted in the middle, standing on a man who is spiritually asleep, while holding aloft the man't soul and holding the scales of judgemen. The top left icon was commissioned by Fr. Michael Begolly.
The bottom right icon was done through the St. John of Damascus Icon Studio for a deacon's door in the iconostasis of the Chapel at Camp Nazareth.
